Job Description


Interested in learning about the event industry? Want to know the ins and outs of event design and operating a small business? We are looking for an outgoing, detail-oriented, hard working intern to join our team at Blush Floral Co

Through this internship you will learn everything there is to know about the event design industry and what it takes to run a small business. As a Blush Floral Co intern, you will gain experience in working very closely with the creative directors of the team. 

Our Team’s Office Administrative will help provide support to the Blush Floral Co team by assisting in daily office needs, and managing general and administrative, and client based tasks, as well as performing special projects, as needed. This is a position that directly works along side the owner and creative director of the team, with areas of mild cross training in the design studio as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


Works directly under the owner and with the production staff

Monitoring + Correspondence to emails and client inquiries

Client qualifying and interaction

Keeping a personal list of active prioritized tasks assigned to be completed

Supporting the inventory management process by working with design and production staff to collect + performing periodic count of inventory stock, report breakage of items (ex. vase and other special event props that are rented) and updating records

Ordering office and other supplies, as needed

Supporting the maintenance of social media site(s) by collecting photo content from design staff and posting relevant content, as directed by staff

Scheduling (and attending) staff + Client meetings 

Assisting in Proposal writing and editing 

Creating event schedules, and event checklists 

Organization of vendor, client and event files 

Understanding event day timelines and project management 

Utilize sourcing skills to assist in placing orders and processing orders 

Working select weekends on events 

Brainstorming and problem-solving 

Understands excellent customer service

Establish and maintain consultative relationship with new, prospective and existing clients

Excellent communication skills (with clients, co-workers and owner)

Ability to work as part of a team and cross train in other areas do all tasks (clean flowers, sweep, etc) with a smile

Lead by example

Professional, groomed appearance at all times on set up days.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:


Minimum high school diploma

Competency with Instagram, Facebook, and other social media platforms

Serious interest in the event design industry; Familiarity with the floral or other service industry a plus

Self-starter/takes initiative/Organized/Pro-Active

Positive attitude, polite, respectful and pleasant

Ability to complete all physical aspects of the business- lift and carry heavy buckets, bending, standing, walking, as well as work on a ladder. 

Exceptional writing and communication skills 

Great work ethic 

Must be responsible, dependable and professional 

Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs 

Organization and time-management skills 

Pluses: computer proficiency in Details software and social media, Instagram, Pinterest,
